I’d like to point out that the idea of requiring grass is environmentally unsound. It wastes of water resources and encourages pesticides in the ground water. There are many attractive landscaping design alternatives to grass. Requiring grass is an outdated practice.

Why did you people buy in Creekside anyway? We bought because of the CC&R’s. I built a brand new home in another S.Salem neighborhood several years ago. I really don’t care to have to look at my neighbour’s underwear blowing in the wind on their clotherline. I’m afraid that is where this is headed. We sold that home after two years and bought here. How sad to see where things are heading. I didn’t really plan on ever moving again, but am now thinking it may be a possibilty.

Thanks for starting a discussion!
In my view in the past there has been no open and honest discussion going on about what people in the neighborhood want and what and why they want it.
I’m cool with no underwear blowing in the wind! What I don’t want is a handful of people that think they know what’s good for everyone in the neighborhood, deciding what the rules and running a community with virtually no communication with the residents.
I think we are closer to wanting the same thing than you realize!

I also welcome the comments of Anonymous posted on 4/19. The CC&R’s serve a very useful purpose in insuring our community is well maintained thereby bolstering our property values.
When the CC&R’s are thoughtfully, consistently and objectively applied they are a great benefit to our residents.
Since you seem to like rules, we are certain you support the rule of law, especially the Oregon law which insures citizens have the right to install solar energy systems.
